Shamanadvaita

The Shamanadvaita Foundation

Applied to one person, this work changes a life. Applied to people who are trying to find something nobody has found yet, it changes what they are able to find.

The Foundation exists for the second of those.

It provides a systematic framework, an approach, and mentoring to individuals applying Shamanadvaita to questions of consequence in deep work and in scientific research. That happens through group retreats, solo retreats, and extended-stay projects, on location at the Foundation.

The premise is the one that runs through the whole system: the qualitative character of the observer is not incidental to what the observer is able to discover. Science has no method for working on that, and has largely proceeded as though it did not matter. The Foundation is where that assumption is tested, by people with something real to find.

Who supports it

Foundation donors are people who have either experienced the work themselves, or come to believe in it enough to support it in their own capacity.

What they have in common is not belief. It is that they want what this work does for one person to reach further than one person at a time: into deep work, into scientific research, and into the place where the two meet.

Patronage is received by the Foundation rather than by the practice, because commitments of that kind belong to an institution.

What support funds

  • A seat — A physical place. The retreats and extended-stay projects are held there, and it is the first thing the Foundation is building toward.
  • Fellowships — Full-rate engagements for people for whom the work is warranted and unaffordable, decided by the directors rather than the practitioner. This is the only route by which anyone receives this work below full rate, and it exists so that a quiet discount never has to happen.
  • Scientific advancement — The enhancement of scientific research through upgrades to the subjective architecture of the researchers themselves.
  • Research — Including the differential protocol on the separability question, published regardless of what it shows.
  • Training — The formation of additional practitioners under licence, so that access is not limited by one person's calendar.
  • Documentation — The system committed to a durable written record, independent of the practitioner's continued presence.

Anonymity

Named or anonymous at the patron's election. Genuine anonymity is available here through a donor-advised fund and is not available on the service side. The reason for the asymmetry is at Confidentiality.

Governance

A separate entity, with independent directors and a conflict-of-interest policy adopted at formation. Any transaction between the Foundation and the practice is reviewed and approved by directors other than the practitioner, on comparable-terms evidence, and documented at the time.
